Be careful on what you do in Facebook

This link goes viral in Facebook: http://xiaxue.blogspot.com/2012/05/faces-of-haters.html

And I have only one reaction: "Oh God."

So Temasek Review took some pictures of Xiaxue (Singaporean blogger) and her friends and put them in its account for people to bash. And yes, there are a lot of nasty comments. Xiaxue took revenge by stalking them one by one, trying to find those who have their Facebook account "public" i.e. strangers can see your info and photos.

And she posted all their information in her blog. This is one of them, and oh man, this man's life is ruined.

I think it's the worst because Xiaxue clearly stated the name of the company and people can easily click on the link, to find out which swimming instructor they don't want to teach their kids. Yes, this man is doomed.

So I lurked around the website and saw these comments:

Oh God...
In this case I would say that most of these people who talked badly about Xiaxue have no real intention to do so. It's just herd mentality, when a large group of people are doing the same thing, the weight of the crime doesn't seem as heavy as it should be. But oh man, now when Xiaxue took a micro viewpoint on it, these people just realize that they sound like some uncouth, stupid bastards who dare to bitch about a girl that they don't know.

They might join just for the fun of it, but now it all backfires. Tenfold.

You see that Soon Chwee, he only made ONE comment (out of other hundreds) but I think he's the one who will be affected the most by Xiaxue's blog post.
(unless the friends or clients of the people who look like some big shots in the post read Xiaxue's blog)
